Finding balance in your life is an ongoing process. As your life shifts, you need to be able to reassess what areas are strong and what areas need more attention.
Before you complete an exercise to understand where your imbalances exist...
This Podcast is PERFECT for us in our first week of discovery. It touches on diet, positive self-speak, what is important in life, goal-setting, relationships, fitness, personal commitments, and more!
Listen to this while you are in the car on your way home from work, on a walk this evening, cooking dinner, or just hanging around the house. We promise you will hear SOMETHING that resonates!
This Wellness Wheel is a wonderful tool you can use time and time again when you need to see where your imbalances lie.
The Wellness Wheel consists of five areas of growth and development:
Pull out your workbook and open it up to Day 2. Follow the steps below to complete your personal Wellness Wheel.
How balanced does your wheel look? Do you have one area that stands out from the rest? Most of the time, if you are lacking in one category, it can create a ripple effect to the other categories.
For example, if you struggle with self-confidence, it won’t only affect your success at your job, but it may also inhibit your relationship with a significant other or cause a lack of self-worth. This, in turn, may cause you to make poor decisions concerning your diet, self-care, and physical activity/movement.
Here comes the beautiful part. This can work the other way as well! Since all of these categories are tied together, as you focus and give attention to your biggest struggle, you will notice improvement in other parts of your Wellness Wheel bring balance to it overall!
Open up your workbook to "Day 2" and fill out your Wellness Wheel. Jot down in the Notes section any thoughts or feelings that came up. Reflect on how your results connect with the "WHY" you identified on Day 1.
Do the weaker areas of your Wellness Wheel suggest things that you still yearn to achieve in your "WHY" statement? Are the strongest categories in your Wellness Wheel areas that you want to keep in place as you pursue your "WHY"?
For example, you might have written for your "WHY" statement that you want to be a success in your business so that you and your family can feel safe and secure. On your Wellness Wheel, you might have rated your career satisfaction at 5, making it something to focus on in the next 28 days. At the same time, you may have rated your satisfaction with your family/relationship dynamics as an 8, which may reach a 10 once you have invested your energy in your business.
For now, simply notice how these categories are connected.
Share the one to two areas where you plan to focus your efforts (the areas in your life that were ranked the lowest) and share one activity/idea in each area that you want to explore in the coming weeks.
Are you feeling a little overwhelmed because you don’t know how to start to make a change? Don’t worry. We will teach you how tomorrow!
STARTER KIT SUGGESTION:
If you are feeling a bit overwhelmed, we suggest using frankincense essential oil to support emotional balance and to cultivate a feeling of grounding. Apply one drop on your finger. Place your finger on the center of your forehead and then to your wrists, rub your wrists together, and inhale that wonderful smell as you take three deep breaths.
You can also roll the Stress Away blend on your temples and the back of your neck and take a few deep breaths before getting started.
