How to reduce stress in three easy steps
It is a strange world we live in today, stress is everywhere, and unfortunately stress can take a toll on our immune systems which will just make matters worse. Fortunately there are many things we can do to reduce stress and boost our immune systems here are three of them.

Self heal
Our bodies are designed to self heal, we need to believe that.   Our minds control our brains, and our brains control our bodies, and our immune system responds to the instructions from our brains. Once we understand and embrace that fact we can self heal,  we are on the road to healing.

Breath work
Breathing is a part of the autonomic system, we don’t normally think about breathing, and many times in moments of stress we often breathe very shallow and may even hold our breath, this is the sympathetic nervous system or fright and flight. Focusing on our breath can switch our systems from fright and flight to rest and digest. The parasympathetic system or ‘rest and digest’ is where the healing happens.

Here is an easy to remember breathing technique that you can do several times a day. It is called box breathing. You inhale for 4 seconds and then hold for 4 seconds, then exhale for 4 seconds and hold for 4 seconds. Repeat 4 times.

Do this whenever you can throughout your day. The more time you spend in rest and digest the more healing can happen.

Essential oils
Essential oils work on a cellular level. They are the very concentrated life of the plant. Plants and essential oils have been used for thousands of years to support healing and reduce stress. My favorite is Stress Away.  I only recommend Young Living oils because of the high quality and frequency. I have been using Young Living products for four years and love them more every day.
