They weren't magic pills
So many people shared great testimonies about Balance & Burn, a new product from Young Living, and I was very excited to try it. I’ll be honest—I imagined these “magic pills” would transform my body without much effort from me.

I took Balance & Burn for five months. During that time, it did help curb a lot of my overeating, and I stopped gaining weight. But I didn’t lose weight either.

Looking back, I can see that I didn’t make many changes to my diet beyond eating less, and I also didn’t increase my non-existent exercise. Those may have been important factors in why I didn’t see the results I hoped for.

Then I listened to a podcast by Howard Gurney, the lead scientist behind Balance & Burn. He talked about several reasons why some people may not see success with B&B right away. One factor that really stood out to me was high cortisol.

That sent me digging a little deeper. I started learning more about how cortisol works in the body, the symptoms of high cortisol, and how a body under too much stress may struggle to burn fat. When cortisol is produced too frequently, it can have negative health consequences such as feelings of fatigue, difficulty maintaining healthy weight, and difficulty maintaining optimal health of cardiovascular systems. So this month I am trying something different. I stopped taking Balance and Burn and started taking Cortistop as well as signing up for a step challenge.

Less than a week into my new routine I have more energy, I am sleeping deeper, and I have a renewed hope of achieving my goal of aging gracefully. Everyone is different and will respond uniquely to plant based support. Let's connect and see what habits or products will help you reach your goal.
